Regional Coach

 

Employer: Petrolia and District Skating Club 

Job Location: Petrolia, Ontario 

Anticipated Start Date: September 2026                   

Application Deadline: July 3rd, 2026

Number of Positions: 2

Job Description: 

The Petrolia and District Figure Skating Club is an established skating club providing quality skating programming since 1963. We are currently seeking a contract StarSkate coach for the 2026/2027 skating season. A typical season operates from September to April with one StarSkate session weekly. 

Qualifications:

  •      NCCP Regional Coach In-training or higher required
  •      NCCP Regional Coach certified preferred
  •      Be a Registered Skate Canada  Professional Coach in good standing
  •      First Aid Certification 

Requirements:

  •      Positive and encouraging attitude to help support and motivate students
  •      Works well in a team environment
  •      Able to effectively communicate with students, parents, other coaches, and the Board of Directors
  •      Follows all delivery standards for the Star 1-5 program as identified by Skate Canada

CanSkate Coach

Job Description:

The Petrolia and District Skating Club is an established skating club providing quality skating programming since 1963. We are currently seeking a contract CanSkate Club coach for the 2026/2027 skating season. A typical season operates from September to April with two CanSkate sessions weekly. During the 2023/2024 season, we achieved the CanSkate Excellence Achieved Standard.

Qualifications:

  • NCCP CanSkate Coach In-training or higher required
  • NCCP CanSkate Coach certified preferred
  • Be a Registered Skate Canada Professional Coach in good standing
  • Completion of the CanSkate Excellence Trainer Webinar preferred
  • First Aid Certified
