Job Description:

The Petrolia and District Figure Skating Club is an established skating club providing quality skating programming since 1963. We are currently seeking a contract StarSkate coach for the 2024/2025 skating season. A typical season operates from September to April with one StarSkate session weekly.

Qualifications:

  • NCCP Regional Coach In-training or higher required
  • NCCP Regional Coach certified preferred
  • Be a Registered Skate Canada Professional Coach in food standing
  • First Aid Certification

Requirements:

  • Positive and encouraging attitude to help support and motivate students
  • Works well in a team environment
  • Able to effectively communicate with students, parents, other coaches and Board of Directors
  • Follows all delivery standards for the Star 1-5 program as identified by Skate Canada

CanSkate Coach

Job Description:

The Petrolia and District Skating Club is an established skating club providing quality skating programming since 1963. We are currently seeking a contract CanSkate Club coach for the 2024/2025 skating season. A typical season operates from September to April with two CanSkate sessions weekly. During the 2023/2024 season, we achieved the CanSkate Excellence Achieved Standard.

Qualifications:

  • NCCP CanSkate Coach In-training or higher required
  • NCCP CanSkate Coach certified preferred
  • Be a Registered Skate Canada Professional Coach in good standing
  • Completion of the CanSkate Excellence Trainer Webinar preferred
  • First Aid Certified

Requirements:

  • Able to effectively communicate with students, parents, other coaches, and the Board of Directors
